Does it give you a view of the lcd as well as the viewfinder? I've had the viewfinder eyepiece for nearly a year now and love it as I have full access to the LCD as well. I make mine and the cost is almost nothing. It slips on and off with almost no effort but stays in place with out just falling off! That looks like a good deal for the money but unless it covers the LCD as well I can't really use it! Thanks for the heads up though as I'm sure there are hundreds that could use one.

Brian and BigDwag-

Actually this viewfinder extension is very useful. No, it is not perfect. Very few things are absolutely perfect in this world. However, because I hapen to wear glasses, this is a very large step forward, at least for me. It solves some of the problems that I have with the difficult to use EVF view finder on the P-880.

I have gotten to know the developer of this device/viewfinder. His name is Fred Weis, and praise to him, he offers a 100% satisfaction guarantee. The viewfinder was originally developed for the DX-6490 and the DX-7590.

However in actual, everyday use,the eyepiecehas been found to work well on the Canon S-2, and the Kodak P-880. The attached photo shows it attached to my own personal P-880.

It is not at all unlike the viewfinder that BigDwag is now using (see his attached photo) but for me, as an eyeglasses wearer, it is a huge leap forward. To date, Fred has sold over 6,000 eyepieces to happy users. I think his guarantee is certainly fair, and I personally am a happy user.

For those of you that might be interested, here is the linlk to Fred Weis' point of sale.

I apologize to every one, very sincerely that the link, that I listed, did not work. However, you can contact Fred at:

[email protected]

It is a great product with a 100% guarentee of satisfaction. How often do you find that?? Just tell Fred that "Sarah sent you!"

No, I don't get a single penny out of it. But Fred hasmultiple products, and this little quote, "Sarah sent you!"will letFred know that you are interested in his extended eyepieces.
