Look you guyswith the newer kodaks with snow mode,,,does the camera take the blue ting out automatically,,,or do you process it out...here`s a pic that the wife took..

She would really benifit from a camera that had snow mode,,as she always forgats to up the exposure comp to +1 ,,,and i have to lighten her pics all the time,,,but even when she does she gets the blue cast...my new camera takes this blue out and ups the exposeure to keep things really white and bright...

Here`s her shot,,,i had to adjust it in PSE3.0 for brightness,,but left the blue there for you to see...not hard to fix this up though...

Brian-

You just adjust the WB in PSE 3.0/4.0, or MS Digital Image Suite, or Paint Shop Pro, they all have a WB adjustment.

Brian, my dx7590 does a great job in snow mode. I spent a whole day shooting in snow mode awhile back and was quite happy how the camera handled it.

Thanks Dan and MT,,the snow mode on the canon works great,,i thought the DX7590 or newer kodaks had to work the same....thanks..

Thanks Sandy,,i know the Canon works well in snow mode,,removes the blue cast and corrects exposure,,,figured the 7590 had to do the same...

My 6490 will work pretty good if you add a skylite filter to remove some of the blue Brian. If you find that your not getting enough of the blue removed with the snow mode a Skylite will aid in removing it. And they come in varying strengths! Just a thought!
