Probably retnar lens instead of schnieder and a AA battery system to go with a different type of case material. Doesn't make it any less effective but it does make it cheaper to produce therefore cheaper to buy!

From the website: http://www.kodak.com/eknec/PageQueri...q-locale=en_US

Schneider lens and Klic-8000 battery.

Now I have another camera to ponder buying.

Dawg..............I'd not mind paying for the camera if I could just get what I wanted. All they need to do is add what I listed to the DX7590 and I'd be spending the money. Damn I'm picky.

Dan...................I really want the jack for the remote shutter that KODAK can sell me. I'd like the megs to jump to 7 or 8 not just up to 6. A slower shutter or bulb setting, wow. Come KODAK build us that Z7712 as listed above. I don't want or need IS.

EDIT: Add a nice eyecup to the contents of the box. Then sell it as a replacement or an add to the DX6490/Z7590, and all the other rigs it fits.

I don't need the eyecup as I finally had to go and make my own but everything else you mentioned is the one I'd like to buy! Till then the simplicity and ease of use of the DX6490 will keep it in my camera bag!

When I first made mine RJ I didn't know you and since it stays on the camera all the time I don't think of it as an accessory but a part of the camera itself Sorry! I also designed a sutter release cable bracket and have given several away and am now without one myself as I ran out of material and the cancer problem interviened. I n the pictures below the opening looks rough but that was before I smoothed it out! This is the link that tells you how to make one. Just keep scrolling and flipping the thread pages till you get to the good info!
