The Bronx Zoo has a Butterfly house with this Gold Fish pond.

Bill-

That is a great set of photos. However, I grew up in gold minning country and those really don't look like gold nuggets to me. Something must be fishy.

As you know there are different kinds of nuggets and the ripples in the water can distort them at times. Some are higher or lower on the scale.

These are high scaled nuggets as you can see.

Bill, believe it or not, I used to be able to find those "goldfish" (aka Japanese Koi fish) in the Bronx River. My guess is that the fish were released into the river from up in Westchester County and they thrived in the slow moving murky water.
