This morning found me back at Oatlands, to check on the status of Lope, the pack leader.

I am very happy to report that he looked bright and alert, and was actively defending his log from Shadow, the Beta male.

Shade is pissed and slinking. He will try 10 times in 10 minutes to get on the "Throne", but Lope will not allow it, LOL.

He is a handsome fella for 24, isn't he? Maybe I am just prejudiced though.

Miss Taleeka the panther. She is a pistol, and is killing an industrial mop head. Sorry about the bright spots, but it is so hard to get her at a good angle away from the sun.

Wandered into the Aviary by chance. Pretty brown pelicans, and one who has only one wing. I believe they are rehabilited injured birds who cannot be re-released into the wild.
