Hi all I thought I would expand on MT's idea and post what some of us spend alot of time at...Our workstations and besides posting to this lil community of ours what else do you do at your computer ?
I guess I'll start off:-)

1. Do alot of the wifes website business here http://www.lcgifts.com. <-----sorry had to throw that in
2. Alot of 3d rendering such as Max3d..Maya..Bryce and Cinema4d.
3. Movie editing.
4. Police scanning on scanner.
5. Tons of burning on my new Hp.
6. Post production on some music that buddies send me of their bands
then send it back for them to master ( mainly drum tracks) just the simple stuff done on this pc though <----my passion because of being a drummer for 35 years and now retired from road work for the past 5 years.
have worked with Amanda Marshall....Burton Cummings....Roger whittaker....Loverboy...April Wine...etc ,,,,some being a drummer and others on the production side of things and I'm proud to have been a part of that era:-) even though I really dont remember the 80's that well...lol:angry:

My setup is very utilitarian... An aging custom built PC featuring a big power supply and about 8 cooling fans to keep the cool air flowing through it. I have all my connections up front where I can access them easily. Also 2 large hard drives inside, one external. I have a Dell 1905FP 19" monitor and an Epson 2480 Scanner. I use Windows XP Pro, Adobe CS2, Macromedia Dreamweaver 8, Nero 7 Premium and many little video converting and editing apps. I don't own a photo printer as I can use my company's facilities and I really never print photos anyway. Oh yeah.... Here's my company's website, which I occasionally contribute to: http://www.cblegacy.com

I still have my Apple Proforma 550.

I once tried to get it on A.O.L version 4 (America Off Line) but it was too slow,22kb built in modem just could not keep up with iinternet. I told AOL dueing that 30 day free tial that my system was too slow and adding a new modem, more memory and a new mother board was not too good idea. AOL in their infinit (or infintile) wisdom decided to sweeten the deal by offering me 3 more months to the free tial period.

I asked the sales rep "if you put a racing saddle on a dead horse will it win The Kentucky Derby ?"

Sales rep said I see you point.

All you need now is a 2 prong to 3 prong ground adaptor and your ready to rock and roll!

Time to dust off your 8 track and swing!!
