Can station a person closer up with a flash that your camera can trip via radio from up in the nose bleed section or where ever you are?

My girlfriend had a child portrait studion where she used slaved Broncolor studio strobes and a infra red tripper that had a long range attached to her Hasselblatt. For out doors she used a 2 piece radio controll to pop the slaved flash(s).

Have you ever gone to a wedding and seen a person carrying a flash on the end of a mono pod with a box. That box gets a signal from the photographers camera that has the transmitter on it. A optical slave would be no good since guest taking flash shots would interfer.

The DF200 flash from Vivitar is an intelligent flash. You teach it to recognize your camera's flash and the direction it's light is coming from. Works pretty good in my experience!
