They are about the size of a pigeon but make as much noise as a jackhammer. I give you the Redbellied Woodpecker! cropped the first just a little!

I love the title.

Before we moved to Savannah, Georgia, we lived in Marietta, GA, and the woodpeckers really seemed to like our home. Perhaps it was time for termite treatment! :-)

Woodpeckers can be loud for sure, and my wife got too upset at me when I threatened to solve the problem with an air rifle. So, my solution was to move. lol

I know what you mean Jim. Before I bricked my house and added aluminum soffit they would hammer the masonite sidding on my house so loud I couldn't watch TV! LOL It's funny to see one try the aluminum. Scares the heck out of them.LOL

A couple of shots to show the difference between a TCON aided shot and a normal zoom shot! The first shows a normal wideangle shot (no zoom) and the second shows a 10x zoom shot without the TCON!
