Did not bother to take notes (stored what I did in my head but hitthe clear button in error, no idea what I did)

Some bird on grass with Tconwere very dark but I think this is due to Tcon blocking flash.

Photo elements 4 opened them considerably.

With Tcon aux at what point do I need to use close up button on top of camera (flower icon) bird shots a tad on soft side

As much as I love the optical view finder a aux lens needs a EVF. The lcd pannel on back of camera is nice and big but all too often of little or no use in composing a shot.

You shouldn't need the macro mode until your inside of a couple of feet Bill! It can be used outside that but With the DX6490 it works better inside of 2 to 3 ft!
