Well we got out to the park this weekend, took about 200+ shots, the first is one by my wife Laura, with the DX 6490,it turned out well i thought.the second is from my D50 with a Sigma 70-200 2.8 EX HSM lense which i just got.this second pic was tweeked a lot,lol...i forgot to reset the exposure compensation and took this at -1.0...so i ran it through PSE3.0 and also Nikon Capture 4....and considering how dark it was when i started,i think it turned out good.i lost a lot of shots from that mistake,,but decided to keep this chicadee shot...I noticed my mistake and reshot a lot of pics though...

Dan,,the D50 is one nice camera.i can really find no fault with it,i got a Sigma70-200 2.8 EX HSM lense from a friend in the U.S.,,,And with that lense and a 1.4 teleconverter i`m getting some real decent shots...The main advantage for me is being able to up the ISO and not being afraid of noise.....But,,,,glass is expensive,,,and the D50 with the Sigma is hard on the arm on a long hike,,lol...here`s a shot from today i took with the new camera....i absolutely love being able to take shots with the spot/tight focus a 2.8 lense can give me...

Here`s another one Dan,,,cut me a bit of a break on this shot, the Sigma lense has a faulty autofocus HSM motor (sent it in for repair today actually),,,so i was in manual focus for this shot, actually all my shots as it was damaged in shipping,,i was not expecting in the least either that he was going to jump full bore like that,,lol,,,so in light of that ithink i did a decent job getting a focus on him that quick..This lense is rather quick to focus manually,,,,but i`m out of practice badly in that area me thinks,,,lol
