Can anyone tell me what is fixed or improved in the firmware upgrade for the Kodak v570? The Kodak website doesn't say, nor does calling them provide an answer. I'm not experiencing any issues, only curious. The latest firmware is 1.02. Thanks.

Greetings Bobr,

Sorry you missed the sentence in the download area that alluded to the change made by this firmware update. It is near the top of the page and reads ....

This firmware version improves exposure compensation. You can better compensate for variations in exposure using the camera option to increase or decrease it. You can see the differences by viewing the screen when making such changes. Give it a try.

Talk to you soon, let me know what you find.

Ron

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I know what exposure compensation is, and it is a useful feature especially in the absence of manual controls on this camera.

Indeed I finally found the statement you pointed me to. I don't know how I missed it, except to say that I didn't expect to find it in that place.

I'll experiment with the existing settings before I upgrade -- I just got the camera Saturday.

Bob
