Cree, you mentioned you were happy with the camera,{Especially Outdoors}
An external flash will do wonders on indoor pics and even outdoor nitetime party shots, you can check them out here

many of us use the sunpaks 144 and 383 models and we're very happy with results
you'll need to pick up a handle bracket to attach the flash to the camera

Just ask us, we're good at spending other peoples money:-)

Thanks Dawg... Now have some more confusion:?

I looked up the sky 1-A filter and there are several of them.. 43mm -- 55mm, 49mm -- Which on should I be looking at???

And adaptors - same deal... Some say 55mm adapter... Others don't specify..

Is there a difference between a lens adapter, lens filter adapter and lens tube adaptor???

The deal on ebay have a low price because the lenses are not as good as the tcon17!!

Its not a good quality glass...You will end up with blurry pictures!!

The treads size of the tcon 17 is 55mm:!:

The tcon(teleconverter) is the same as the olympus 1,7x of Dawg...

Tcon is only the abreviation of teleconverter!

Here is the tcon17 of olympus with a 1,7x magnification..(https://emporium.olympus.com/innards...sku=200862-410)

It screw on every 55mm treads..For the dx6490 you will have to buy an adapter that will have some 55mm at the end..Then you will be able to screw the tcon on!!
