OK, I know my camera(Kodak DX4530) can use other lenses using a lens converter, but what converter can I get? When searhing for one, the only one I find that's actually made for the DX4530 costs $50 for the converter and no lens. I found a lens that said it was compatable with both the DX4530 and Z760. So...would a lens converter work if it states it's just for the Z760(as I found one for $10)

The problem is, my old camera isn't in the best shape, but it works very well. I don't want to spend lots of money and then the camera break, or just plain not be happy with the results. I mean if I'm going to spend $200 on lenes, then why not just go on and get a new super-zoom camera? I still have my eyes on the Panasonic FZ20...

You didn't say which kind of converter lens you were looking for! Kodaks 37mm Retnar teleconverter is here....

http://www.kodak.com/eknec/PageQueri...gory=EKN028002

It will run you about 59 dollars plus shipping! The wide angle converter is here....

http://www.kodak.com/eknec/PageQueri...gory=EKN028002

It will run you about 49 dollars plus shipping! The adapter tube is here....

http://www.kodak.com/eknec/PageQueri...gory=EKN028002

And it will run you about 19.95!! So if you stay with the retnar lens and the Kodak adapter the Tele lens and adapter will be about 80 bucks plus shipping. To go wide angle it will cost about 70 bucks plus shipping! There are also closeup lens offered by Kodak for that camera and they can be found here...

Of course you'll need the adapter for these as well! I hope this helps some!

Iwas asking about the adaptor! I assumed once I got that, most any 37mm lens would work...

Darren...checking Kodaks site shows the adapters for both:
z760--34mm to 37mm
dx4530--35.2mm to 37mm
I cannot see one adapter fitting both since they have different size threads. I would stick with Kodaks recommendation. And from my own experience I can say Kodaks adapter is much sturdier than generic brand I've tried.

Greetings,

There is an adapter on the Kodak site that will fit your camera and the DX4330. Go to the following page and review the accessory options to see what Kodak offers.

http://www.kodak.com/go/accessories

Also, if the lenses (filters, screens, etc.) that you have or are considering have the same thread size then they should fit. But, for your best experience, be sure that they are first so you do not make a mistake. Also, I would be careful about adding a lens or other device that is at all heavy as that can make a difference and may be too much for the adapter and camera.

At present Kodak offers a Wide Angle, Telephoto, Lens Hood, and Close Up lens accessory. They work pretty well (I have a DX4330).

Talk to you soon,

Ron Baird
