Your first picture is a bit like the one i use as my computer wallpaper. My photo is of Corfu though, but it looks almost the same.

It will help bring the colors out in shots where there is a lot of reflected light! Also helps cut through UV Haze! Go to this page and scroll down just a little and click on the features tab!
