I have a Kodak DX3900 that tells me how many shots I have remaining in storage depending on what quality JPG I am shooting at the moment.

Does the P850 have such an indicater depending on card size and picture format?? Or is it considered unecessary when one can use a 1 or 2 Gig SD card?? I imagine it would be hard to corrupt a card by overtaxing its memory.

Thanx, Ken Selfridge

Greetings Kislfrid,

Yes, the P850 provides the number of remaining images that can be taken at the settings chosen. Since the content of your images will dictate their size this number may change slightly as you move through the remaining space. But you will see a number based on the remaining memory and average size of files.

Talk to you soon,

Thanks Ron, but don't give up on me yet!! Where do I find that Info?? Is it in one of the many menus?? I have to admit I have yet to push all of the buttons.

Thanks, Boily

I tried the Histogram and Highlight a few times but that wasmore information than I could cope withso I never pushed that button again. Instead I squinted every menu several time looking for something that would give me a clue as to how many shots I might have left. That was mostly while I was getting by with only the Internal memory. Now my 1 gig Ultra II card has given me some peace of mind.

Thanks again
