I came across this tree a couple of weeks ago growing straight from the center of this granite boulder. I will have to take another picture in a year.

Nice picture, I love the colours!!

Did you used a wide-angle or any filter for this shot?

Hi Boily,

It was shot with a Kodak P880 I framed the shot in the view finder the lens is the 35 mm equivalent to a 24-140zoom, so I would say yes it was shot at 24 or in wide angle. I was lazy and used auto exposure and auto focus.

The location was about 15 miles north of theUS/Mexico border and 50 miles east of San Diego, CA.

The area is pretty much high desert 4,000 ft elev. it was about 3:00 in the afternoon.

Just UV filter.

Wonderful photo! Almost looks like a Gradual gray filter was used on the sky! That P880 does give sharp photos Jim!

Take some Ace bandages and an accomplise with a gun! If you're bitten try to wrap the ace bandage around the area just above the wound! When you get tired of that then tell your accomplise to just go ahead and shoot you!! LOL
