Hey all,
I've heard about auto focus and auto exposure features on my camera recently but to be honest, I don't know what they are. What do these 2 features do, and is there any benefits to doing them manually? (If so, how would I do that). Thanks for your time.

The Auto Focus and the Auto Exposure are at work when you are in Auto mode and also when you are in P Mode! They set the exposure and focus Automatically when you push the shutter release button down half way. When you have become familiar enough with the camera to want to try the manual settings go here to get a further explanation of their functions and possibilities! Look for the PASM tips first then browse the rest! Have fun!

And here for more good tutorials. Thanks Gina for the last URL! Good explanation of polorizing filters, depth of field and other things most folks need to know!

There are some really good tips by the folks at both places!
