Hey all, I'm looking into purchasing another battery for my P850 and the site I found it on identifies it as a battery for the Kodak DX6490, but the Kodak website lists the same battery as being compatible for both. So is there a Kodak battery that only works in the DX6490? Or is the site I'm buying from just out of date?

It's probably out of date because Kodak DX6490 and the P850 use the same type of battery.

The KLIC-5000 is 1150 mAh and the KLIC-5001 is 1800 mAh. The latter will last considerably longer before needing a recharge.

Yes, it is the bigger one (which is 1700 mAh by the way), I just wanted to make sure it was the same.

So thank you sameroad for the answer, and thank you domang for your help as well.

Higher mah will cost more but you will be able to shoot before the battery gives up.

I was once looking for a new battery for my cell phone, a kyocera from Virgin prpaid. Virging wanted over $40.0, a new phone, same model cpuld be had for $39.00 in a local drug store (my model was discontinued).

I bought a battery from

www.wirelessemporium.com

When I first went to their site and did not order anything a pop up came up when I was leaving the site offering me 10% and there was free shipping.

I am willing to wager 3 bags of swiss cheese holes that they have batteries for a Kodak camera. I have been told that many Nokia cell phones use the same battery as our Kodak cameras

I've just ordered two off Ebay. I hope they are OK because they didn't cost that much. I ordered the Klic5001 batteries.

I got two KLIC 5001 equivalents on EBay for my Z7590 from this guy (http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback&userid=orphanbiker& amp;iid=7631040796&frm=284) for about $16 with shipping and they have been working fine for me.

My daughter bought a DX7440 camera and it came with the klic5000 battery. When I bought my DX6490 it came with the 5001 battery. We have interchanged them several times and they will work in either camera! The 5000 will give me about 250 photos before quitting and the 5001 will let me shoot about 450 photos before running out of juice! Just what is!! LOL
