I know it's not very good but I sat an waited forthis bird or a hummer for about an hour and then of all things it had to land at the feeder that was almost behind my back. I had to get camera of of tripod and try to reset my setting and then turn a littlle sideways and hope that I could get a shot. I got 2 trys before it flew away. I was not able to change setting fast enough to get a good picture. This is the best of the two.

Thank for looking

Richard

It a Goldfinch

That is indeed a beautiful bird, I think I get them where I live too... but I have yet to get a picture as good as yours. Great shot!

I saw one of those near my house, from a distance, and thought someone's parakeet had escaped.

Tom when I saw it I did not know what is was. After I got the shot I asked someone that knew more about birds and they told me It was a Goldfinch. I have since went and got me a book on bird.

Thanks for viewing and have a good day.
