I would like to bang your shots on heads of those who tell that this camera can not take sharp shots. I am considering this camera since long but now suddenly the emergence of P712 has changed the equation.

Great job, Boily...More proof a camera is as good as the person holding it

Thanks alot sameroad, Atindra and Dan

Atindra, if you whant to print large pictures with a powerful zoom, the p712 would be a very nice camera!!

Iwould honestly be happy to have those extra 3mp..:?but I will stick with the p850 for a very long time because it offers me what I need!!

Hi Boily I would have also stuck with P850, if I had one. Last year december I decided to go for it but I was changing my location from Israel to USA and in transition I avoided buying it. After landing in USA, I got terribly busy for first 3-4 months and now suddenly when I decided to go for it, its mostly out of stock at many standard stores. On the other hand P712 is announced. With a few extra features over P850, even if it delivers same pic-quality as P850, I would happily go for it.
