Your camera goes only to 38mm equivalent. That isn't a very wide angle. Your best bet is to hold the camera with the long side up and take several panorama shots. You end up with a standard 4:3 image of about 27mm when you stitch them. And you will have over 9Mp.

Autostitch is a free program that will stitch them for you and pretty much even out the stitch lines from having different exposures. http://www.cs.ubc.ca/~mbrown/autostitch/autostitch.html

When I shoot panoramas with a small camera I usually use continuous shooting where you just hold the shutter and pan as it takes the photos. The advantage is that most cameras fix the exposure and white balance with the first shot so you can use any stitching program with no stitch lines. You should pre-meter by holding the shutter halfway on something that is about your average exposure if you want to make a large panorama. For just getting a wide shot from a camera without a wide angle lens you can usually ignore that.

so is that mean the V610 doesn't have the wide angle function as the V570 then? :?

Correct. The V570 has the wide angle. The new V610 only does 10x zoom.
