Greetings,

Yep, it sure is a new camera. Latest in the V series.

It is a six megapixel camera, thathas blue tooth imbedded in it so you can send your pictures to other devices - i.e. phone or printer. It also has a SCHNEIDER-KREUZNACH C-VARIOGON lenses but without the zoom coming out of the camera. Rather, it uses new technology and dual lenses. Very advanced optics. This camera also has one of the largest screens at 2.8 in. (7.1 cm). It is a high resolution color display with wide viewing angle.

I have tried a few times and it is pretty nice. Love the optics and the bluetooth.

Talk to you soon,

3 words.

I want it!

It looks like a very nice pocket camera. However my one issue with it. I didn't see a viewfinder on it.

Hmm...looks cool, although a little odd, because of two lense on the front. I'm going back to Vegas in a few months. My DX7440 camera doesn't do very good video(320x240, at some odd 24.xx framerate). I can't encode these videos to DVD without them looking jerky. The V610 looks good at 640x480 30fps.

One thought....Bluetooth. Is there an option to switch it off or place a password on your camera? I wouldn't want to be walking by someone with a notebook scanning for bluetooth devices.

Tis a very nice camera indeed. I've had mine for a couple of months now and really like the size and quality of pictues I've gotten from it. Plus the panorama mode works really well.

There is a menu option on the setup menu for bluetooth. You can turn it on and set up a password using this menu.

Any word on the price? I'm looking at the Kodak V series for a new pocket camera, and the 10x zoom looks nice.

I've seen it for under $400 US. You just have to look around.
