Like I said you can get some very nice shots with full digi-zoom! Here's two I took without the TCON-17. Just the 10X zoom and the 3X digi-zoom. These are with the moon low on the horizon and have some yellow orange color to them Enjoy!

I think you are right, you can get good pictures even with the digital zoom:-)

Thanks Boily! I just wanted to do this so some folks might actually try to get better using the digi-zoom! It's a tool but needs to be practised with to achieve decent photos!!

Wow, those are really great! I never use the digital zoom on my camera (dx7630) because I am just not happy whatsoever with the results I get.

Takes practice to know how far to go with it! On most moon shots at night you can go all the way! What you will see in the LCD as you focus will not be what you get at the close of the shutter! The LCD just can't handle it well! LOL Check later on for the URL's I'm posting to Bedde. They will link to my moonshot posts that also give the settings to use! I'll post them tonight when I get home from work!
