i turned this on but what is the orientation sensor for, is it good that it is turned on? but what is for?

When you take a photo by turning the camera on it's side..When you review the shot with the camera rotated back to it's original position the photo taken with the camera turned will now appear in the LCD with the top of the photo at the top of the LCD screen! I hope I explained that well enough! If not then I'll post some photo's to show you what I mean!
