Another question....I currently use a 6mp (dx7630). If I happen to go for the P850, will I really notice a difference because it is only a 5mp? The largest photos I blow up are 11x14 and I take just general photos, landscapes, closeups, etc. Has anyone else gone "down" as far as MP's go? Did you notice a difference? Thanks again!

My wife shoots with a 5MP and I shoot with a 4MP camera. Not a lot of difference to me! The Zoom will more than make up for any percieved difference, I believe! Get more Zoom! LOL

Zoom is undescribeably more important than resolution. I'm guessing the DX7630 has 10x zoom at the best? Jumping to 12x on the P850, you won't notice the res difference.

Edit: LOL, I just looked it up, and before you were using a 3x zoom??? Trust me, zoom in once on that P850 all the way, and you won't even be thinking of resolution, and you'll probably laugh at yourself for worrying. Haha.

When i was wanting to buy a digital camera a few months ago, i thought the bigger the megapixels the better, but ended up going for the Kodak P850 because i wanted the large zoom and didn't want to spend a fortune.

Im now very happy with what i bought and don't think having more megapixels would have made that much difference to me. The large zoom has come in very handy though.
