Ok, so I am more than likely getting my P850 this weekend :cool:But what to do with my DX7630? I paid over $300 last year for it and I checked Ebay and I couldn't believe it when I saw some sold for only $30 (most were more but geesh! Thirty bucks?!)!! For that amount, I might as well keep it! So what would YOU do? Keep it as a "backup" or try to sell it? Is there someplace (other than Ebay) where I could try to sell it? Any advise is appreciated! :-)

You should keep it !!

Its a little camera, easy to transport...When you don't want to carry the p850 you take the DX7630:-)

yes as stated in boilys link you should just carry your old camera in your pocket where ever you go or keep it in a bag where ever you go, you never know what might crop up. You cant do that with the p850 as it is a big camera.

I think I'd keep it also..:-)

I have a similar delimma, however I think I will sell my old camera. I need the cash to get the Kodak TCON 1.4 and adapter. I know I'll loose big time with it though. It's a Sony Mavica FD95. It was released at a price of $1,000, and I managed to pick it up for $600. Now they might bring $200. If I didn't need to, I would just hang on to it, and I certainly am not giving it away..

Haha, what an honour, my topic has been linked to. And yes, I would keep it scrappynik as the topic suggests. I have the P850 and although it is an amazing camera and I would definatly take it's features over a small camera that doesn't do as much, it is still to big to take with me for the average situation (school for example).

So I am planning on dishing out some extra cash for an ultra compact, but if your old camera can serve that purpose, by all means, keep it.

I'd keep it as a back up.

When you see a $300. +/- camera being sold for $30.00 a little bird should tweet into your ear "ideal for spare parts".

If your old camera works keep it for a back up camera. If you have aux. lens for the older one keep it on the camera and use it as a second/long lens camera on photo outings.

Give it to spouse, significant other or relative.

Use it to tenerize cheaper cuts of meat

:lol:Bill! That's what my snazzy knives are for...but it's an idea should they become dull ;)lol

It's not really that compact...there is no way possible I could get it into my pocket unfortunatly.I think I'll just hang on to it for the time being. Thanks for all your opinions!
