Just got back from the family vacation in Colorado, and we made a stop in Alamosa, Colorado to see the Great Sand Dunes.* This was one of the most amazing things I have ever seen.* The scale of these sand dunes was astounding.* You simply CANNOT imagine how big these things are.* If you look closely at the pics you will see people climbing the dunes, and they look like ants, that kind of gives you an idea of how big they are.* To see these dunes right next to the mountains was such a contrast.

Nice ones! The wife and I went through there several years ago but didn't have a very good camera to use with us. No good photos came out of the few we shot! Wish I'd had the DX6490 years and years ago!
