Hey gang,

My very very first post here. So hello to all. I just retired my sony digital and am now the proud owner of the p850. So far a fantastic digital camera. Obviously having only owned one other brand of camera I'm trying to use the p850 the same way.

One feature I'm not sure if I'm missing or not is the ability to save pictures or files back to the SD card. My sony, once plugged in via usb, acted like another available drive. I oftenused itasportable storage. The Kodak only allows me to pull files from the card and not the other wayy around.

Can I do this with theKodak? Do I have tobuy a card reader or the easydock or something?

Thank you thank you

I did it with the p850 but with a card reader!!

I think you can do it with the usb too, if you see a drive...

The only way it didn't work for me is when I renamed a filefor example (butterfly..)

To put it back on the camera, I had to name it like it was before .. 100_1065 for example !

Good luck:-)

This question comes up now and then and the answer seems to be, "it depends."

You should be able to find a card reader for about $10.00. A USB 2.0 reader might be worth it just for the faster upload speed.

Hope that helps.

Yeah I've tried it every way I could. Just couldn't get it to happen. I figure a card reader might be the way to go. Anyway thanks for your input. I'm sure I'll be back for more. I love this camera. Actually I feel like I'd love any camera over my old sony. However I'm still feeling great about my decision and that's what's important!
