Hey Gang,

Lens hood. I couldn't find a definition in our dictionary here. I've seen them many places. They're somewhat inexpensive. What do they accomplish?

A lens hood stops light coming into the lens at extreme angles and being reflected inside the lens. This can lower the contrast of the image
