I was just wondering how to take nice pictures of birds and other animals with some artistic effect used by the photographer... for example artistic blur e.t.c.......

could anyone help me... im new to the p850...

I read about and looked at all of the wonderful pics boily and other users took with it so i decided to get it and i am soon getting the tcon 17..

To get nice pictures, you need some practice and you need to know the camera a lot:-)

To get a blur background you should use low F stops (f3.2) !!

And if you are zooming very close to a subject you can also use the macro mode to focus and it will blur the background even more

LOTS of practice! I've had my camera (P850) just over a week (or two? I forgot, lol) and that's all I've been doing! lol

First you need some nice birds.

Don't stay too close

Dont make any sudden moves

Be quite

Try some "bait". Toss some crumbs in the area you want them to be. Smear some peanut butter on a twig you want them to be or set up a feeder where you want the to be/congreate

Think bird !!!!!

Now now bill, you telling him to learn the hard way. Birds should come later. Start with flowers... you don't need to attract flowers with crumbs:lol:
