hi have been using my p850 reguarly and ive taken roughly half my shots in auto and half in manual (PASM) i have noticed that alot of 'noise' is appering in my shots and consequently i turned the ISO down to cancel this out, i thought ISO 160 was a low ISO for noise not to appear but it does and alot of it as well. Does noise appear due to other factors e.g. aparture or exposure or was it me setting a low ISO at the wrong time of day i.e at dusk?, thanks in advance.

I like to shoot mine at ISO 80 and then slow the shutter speed down! This will give you less noise but action shots are out of the question! Here is one at ISO 80, F/2.8, 16 sec!

If you use slow shutter speed, you should see the noise easily...Thats why you should always keep the iso low when shooting night picture (keep it under 100)

I put it at 50

Thanks oh Great Master, Grasshoper trys very hard to meet your standards!! LOL Thanks Boily your praise is a boost to my morale! And I sincerly mean that! Wish I had ISO 50 sometimes! I also wish I had a 64 second shutter speed like the DX7440 has!
