This is a wonderful place called Dovestones. It's a lake in Greenfield, about 5 miles away from where I live. It's miles of hills, cliffs and woodland. And there are hundreds of fantastic photos to be had there on any given day.

Went for a walk around today and passed an hour testing the camera. Got a fair few awesome shots.

Here are a couple.

Great pictures, I love the colours !!

You are lucky to have these beautiful landscapes to take in picture :-)

You should go on the side of the water (the bottom of you 3rd picture)

I'm sure It will make a beautiful shot

I did mate. That's a huge lake. Takes about 90 mins to walk around it but you can easily spend a whole day up there if you explore the woods and walk to the very top of the Dovestones hills. Today I only walked half way before the rain started so I came back.

I was testing various settings on the camera today. The first ones I shot were a little under exposed but the latter ones were fantastic. I'll have another trip up next week and do some real shooting.

I climbed right to the top of the Dovestones last year. Takes about 2 hours to climb up the hill itself. From the top the lake and surroundings look amazing. You can see for miles on a clear day. Ideal scene for my 24mm lens.

I've just bought a new dedicated server for my photography site and am currently transferring everything over but all my pics will be published there either later tonght or tomorrow.

Just had a drive to a place called Hartshead Pike in Mossley, about 3 miles from me. I live in Tame Valley and from the pike itself you can see for miles over the valley. And you can see the pike from most points of Tameside.

It's a very dull and cloudy day here today. Very windy and wet, but the camera performed well.

The entire collection can be viewed at my site.
