I gave up on all the photo magazines a long time ago.

I used to subscribe to Popular, Modern, Petersens, camera 35.

As time went by they drifted from articles on what you can "do" to what you can "Buy"

Are there any constructive magazines on the news stands these days? I see many geared to digital.

I think you can find more online than in the magazines. You can usually find most of their articles at the magazine's website. Once you become a seasoned photographer, the magazines become nothing more than a bunch of ads with a few beginner's articles sprinkled in between. Stick to the forums. If you think you've "outgrown" a forum, move up to a more advanced forum or User Group.

My feeling exactly!

I remeber when I read Popular Photography regularly. A article started on page 26, continued on page 42 and then continued on page 88 and page 88 was part of the classified and many of the pages had no page numbers printed.

How many photomagazines today go to page 88 or higher?

I was in an office supply store the other day and spotted quite a few photography magazines on the stands and flipping through them, most were full of ads and the magazines themselves were very skimpy and overpriced! I used to get PC Photo and that one was pretty decent.
