I tried posting directly, the file seemed huge even though I resized in Photobucket.

That's a beautie, Dawn.

If you keep seeing the original size then some software of yours is caching the original image. When Photobucket resizes an image it keeps the original name so you keep seeing the original size.

A solution, when the problem is there,is to rename the pic at Photobucket. Adding a digit like "a" or "1" will do.

Thanks Dawg - appreciate it !

Thanks Boily - you have really been doing some nice work with that new cam !

Thanks Domang - I thought I remembered you advising someone else on this same problem recently. I couldn't find the thread after searching. Thanks for the comments and the help !

You are welcome.

I once had that same problem and, like you, askedothers what size pic they were seeing. They were seeing the reduced size. Renaming the pic at Photobucket is the simplest solution I can think of to resolve the problem.

Thanks Niki !

Domang - I renamed the rest of the files I had uploaded last night before adding them to the forums - I'll do that in the future if I run into the same problem unless I can figure another way around the problem !

It was my experience that I had no problemso long as I did nothing with the Photobucket pic before resizing it. But that was with my software and your situation could be different.

The software in reference was anadd-on to my browser. I could upload a pic to Photobucket without it being cached but once I did anything with the Photobucket copy it would be cached. I had to first resize it.

Hope that makes sense.
