So I was browsing on Ebay and noticed that they are selling 2 different sizes of lens adapters for the P850...58mm and 52mm....which one do I want? Also, can I use any type/brand filters? I mean, I don't have to get digi-cam specifics do I? Thanks!

You want neither. The Kodak lens adaptor is 55mm. (It actually says on it "53mm to 55mm Lens Adapter"). Don't buy or use anything but the actual Kodak labelled lens adapter. Then you can use whatever 55mm sized filters or accesory lenses you want..

I agree with FaciaBrut. Another problem with the off-brand adapters, according to what I've read, is the depth of the threads for accessory lenses or filters. Some people have complained of having barely enough thread to hold the accessories.

The Kodak adapter isn't that expensive so why go with an off-brand?

The 58mm adaptor i bought works ok. I've got a few filters and macro lens for it.
:-)
It does it's job, but you might as well go for the official Kodak adaptor

Thanks! I *thought* they were legit because they did say Kodak on them. Glad I asked before I did any bidding! :-)
