Well I have had my hands on the P712 a few times now, taken about 40 pictures of a variety of things.
Over all, I am happy with the switch from the Z7590. A lot of new features to learn and a lot of practice required to get some quality shots.
Looking forward to some good pictures with this one.
Now I have to work on the picture posting to my messages thingie.

I use the time date mainly for shots of the grand kids. Down the road somewhere it
is nice to have the date. Wish the text was a tad smaller, however you are quite correct. Don't need no date on this shot.

Wish I'da had a time date stamp back when I was shooting photos of my daughters in the 60's and early 70's. My wife wrote something on each one but over time the writing has become indeciferable.
