Bill, I use Firefox almost exclusively, except for certain websites which were designed to work ONLY with IE. I would recommend dumping (uninstalling) any "toolbars" as these 'browser helpers" are just one step removed from a trojan.

I have done far more buying on eBay than selling, but have never had a problem with ebay or PayPal. A common thing found on ebay is new unopened electronics or cameras with the UPC code removed from the packaging. Yes, people make a living buying merchandise, collecting the manufaturer's rebate, and reselling the merchandise once again on ebay at full list.

With a few more people we may have a new forum devoted to Ebay!

I have noticed that many sellers do not stipulate that they add sales tax for sales in the state they reside in. Does this mean many people who do not buy their wares from other vendors but sell found treasures (at home, garage sales, thrift shops, flea markets etc.) and are basicly small time operations that can get by without declaring their sales or obtaining a resale #??

Yeah Bill... I would only be concerned if you were doing a very high volume, had a state issued retail business license and/or a "brick and mortar" physical business location. (This is from a lay person... I am not a CPA or attorney)
