I read the review on the Dimage Z3 and it says you can just screw on a filter. I was wondering if you can do the same thing with the Dimage Z5.
I have two add on lenses one is a (1.5x and wide angle combo) and the other is 5x telephoto. I want to be able to use them on the new camera. I am leaning toward the Dimage Z5 but the Canon Powershot S2 is a close second. I need a 12x optical zoom and 5mp is enough to let me take pictures I want. Keith I am hoping by the time I am able to get a camera one of them has a remote. Oh yea I had a Canon G1 and it got caught in a surprize rain storm and I got a replacement camera the Dimage Z3 and I learned an 8x optical zoom isn't heigh enough |

You have to buy the adapter ring, ZCA 300 and then you can use 55 mm accessories like filters . The Lens of Z3 (and all Dimage Z ) has no thread. For Z1 and Z2 I think the adapter ring is ZCA 100, the thread size is 52 mm.
