When focussing in low light the A200 is often slow and misses completely. Looking at the screen it is obvious the image is entirely out of focus.

I want to use manual focus to correct. But as soon as I engage manual focus (both direct manual focus and selecting full manual focus) the display automatically "zoomes". The image I then get (on the screen or EVF) is an enlargement of part of the image. Because it is so noisy I can't judge focus on this at all.

Is it possible to disable the automatic zooming when engaging manual focus? Because this "zooming" renders the feature useless for me which is to bad.

good question, I find that feature completly useless, the zoomed in image is so noisy you can hardly see what you are photographing.

It should be mentioned in the manual, I'll have a look.

I already found the solution on another forum (

Option 1: Select manual focus, half press the shutter and then focus. No more zooming!

Option 2: Set digital zoom to 1.1 and focus, again no zooming on the display (but who wants digital zoom).

Great,

I didn't find anything in the manual, strange they didn't mention it
