I have had my 7hi for about 3 weeks now, and about 4 times when I turn it on, it boots up fine, and I change the mode from like program to manual, and the camera shuts off and gives me an error message on the data panel. Any ideas why it does this, and how I can avoid it? Its not that much of a problem, because I just have to wait for the message to go away, and restart the camera, but I missed a good shot because I had to take those 15 seconds to reboot. Does anyone else have this problem?
Thanks, Max |

Ive had my 7hi for about 4 months, and never once have i had a problem. Did you buy it used? what condition are the batteries in? are they new or did they come with the 7hi? It could possibly be poor/dirty contacts at the batteries. not sure, just a thought. good luck.

I got the camera from my dad when he upgraded to the A2 this fall (the 7hi is now 2 years old, but in good condition). I try to use new batteries, mostly energizer 2100s and 2300s. I will try cleaning the contacts and see if that helps. Thanks!
