I have a Dimage 7hi. The rubber eyepiece gasket thingy is broken.
Where can I get another? I know that this must be a fairly common problem, because I have a friend that has the same camera, and his is gone too. Any ideas? Paul |

The standard eyeguard will fit the eyepiece perfectly. Once you use it you will not want to be without it in bright light. http://www.telescope.com/shopping/pr...keyword=rubber
My parrot ate the original eyepiece the first day I had my D7i. It turned out to be a good deal because I really like the eyecup. |

Yes, it was a known problem starting with the Dimage 7, and it's a shame that Minolta continued to manufacture a defective part. You could not buy the eyepiece from Minolta either. The camera had to be sent in to them for repair. |

Do those eyeguards block the IR eye sensor?

I just got the eyepiece in...
It DOES still work - it automatically switches when you put your face up to the camera. Paul |
