I just downloaded some photos from my A2 to my computer. None of the photos are important because I'm just practising. But I've encountered a curious thing; all the pics that were not 'flash' pictures are extremely overexposed; bright yellow with subject 'motion.' Clearly theshutter (?)was open far longer than expected.

The odd thing is that the Data Panel showed a message "trn5" in the area where ISO normally would be shown. I have no idea what this means, and can't find any reference to it anywhere ( I rtfm :?).

I suspect that I inadvertently turned on some function (this is a steep learning curve), but I don't know which one, or how to turn it off. Actually, turning the camera off and then back on deleted the 'trn5' message and things look normal.

But does anyone know what "trn5" means? And how do I set the camera back to "default?"

thanks folks....

Hi xylem-
The 'trn5' is Minolta's [feeble] way of using existing data panel LCD elments to indicate 'tranSfer' where the number 5 is supposed to look like an S. This message is displayed during the download from the camera to the computer. The data panel display should revert to normal after your turn the camera off and disconnect the USB cable.

The over exposed photos should have no connection to the 'trn5' display.
