Hi!
New to this forum and this camera. Just got it on Thursday. Am still feeling my way around. Helleborus orientalis in my backyard this AM. 2448 x 3264, Extra Fine, ISO 100, Handheld, no flash, Telphoto Macro. All other settings Auto. Original image is around 3 MB. Resized in IrfanView to 1024x768, and resampled to fit the size limits. |

The humped back sign here 'warns' of a section of the road that has been raised - like a 'sleeping policemen' to cause traffic to slow down as they cross. Sleeping policeman - just in case some one doesn't know - is a short section raised section of road - varies in length between 2 feet and 6 feet - to slow down traffic in built up areas. There was an incident quite recently here in the UK by where a resident tired of the noise created by traffic slowing down & revving of engines, leveled the road using a JCB. Nice pictures from gogogo5& ejellest; did you use any in camera enhancing or post processing to sharpen the images or were they straight out the camera. |

Hi Catbells - thanks for your feedback on our pics. Your question about post-processing has reminded me that I forgot to include that all photos had the Vivid colour mode selected.
Other than that, all photos are straight from camera and resized in Elements 3 using Bicubic Sharpening to 800x600. -gogogo5 |

Aside from the settings I mention all the camera settings are at default. Camera Sharpness is set to "Normal". I didn't do any filtering or post processing, aside than resize to 1024x768 and save as "progressive jpeg" at about 95% quality in IrfanView. From the EXIF data, the "FNumber" was 3.5 and "ExposureTime" was 1/15 seconds. |

Telephoto macro; 1/15 sec; handheld? Wow.
I'm impressed. I know it's not the sharpest picture taken (note: I have not examined it with my glasses yet. Yes, it does make a difference for me). But still, that is impressive. |

Dripping Pine Sap, How Romantic
For some reason I had a hard time getting the camera to focus on this one. Also, I had to reduce the jpeg quality pretty seriously in photoshop to get it small enough to upload. No other post processing.
