I've had both my new A200 and granddaughter for about 2 weeks now. I really like both. Here's a picture of my wife and our granddaughter taken hanheld at ISO400. It did need a fair amount of post processing but I think it came out quite well.

I've only had the A200 for a few hours, but here is a set of zoom experiments that might be of some interest (includes ACW-100 and ACT-100)

Thanks for the comparison zoom images. They've pretty much solidified my decision to get the A200. The 300mm zoom seems like winner also.

Well, I've finally done the deed & made the purchase of the A200. First impression are favourable although the EVF seems noisier than I first thought. Low light focusing is not as good as I'd hoped BUT then I'd read the reports so wasn't expecting miracles - overall, low light focus is better than my Fuji S602.
The attached image was taken using flash, Size - 3264x2448 Resolution - ExtraFine ExposureTime - 1/200 seconds FNumber - 3.50 ExposureProgram - Normal program ISOSpeedRatings - 50 ExposureMode - Auto WhiteBalance - Auto Contrast - Normal Saturation - Normal Sharpness - Normal SubjectDistanceRange - Macro and post processed using Photoshop using UnSharpMask & level adjustment to increase the brightness. |

This shot would have been impossible using my Fuji in the dark corner of the hall. It was taken using flash & the full size image cropped to 750x1000 retaining the original detail.
Size - 3264x2448 Resolution - ExtraFine ExposureTime - 1/100 seconds FNumber - 3.20 ExposureProgram - Normal program ISOSpeedRatings - 200 ExposureMode - Auto WhiteBalance - Auto Contrast - Normal Saturation - Normal Sharpness - Normal SubjectDistanceRange - Macro and post processed using Photoshop using UnSharpMask & level adjustment to reduce brightness. |

Congratulations, Catbells! Glad to see you're enjoying your shiny, new A200!
It does take a rather nice picture, doesn't it? Good job! ![]() |

I don't think it would be possible to take a bad photo of her :-)

I took your beautiful picture and enhanced it a little bit with Photoshop CS (Unsharp Mask) just to get te most out of it.
I've read all the post about the KM A200 and was a little bit disapointed to hear about the dull and unsharp images this camera would make. :-? I just couldn't beleave it. And...I was right so to see.:G |
