Hi Everyone,
I was thinking about buying the 49mm Minolta Circular Polarizer. Can you use the filter while you have the hood on -Can you turn the filter without the hood getting in the way? Also, if anyone has used this filter please let me know what you think of it. Thanks so much Here's a link to the filter http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/cont...501&is=REG |

I don't have the Minolta CP but I do have a Hoya. You can use the hood. It is a little more difficult to turn (your fingers have to fit into the hood) but it's not real bad.
It may (it did on the Hoya) vignette at the wide angle mode so I changed to a stepping ring + 58mm CP + External WA hood. I already had the stepping ring so I could use a +1,+2,+4 macro kit. |

as far as I know. This cpl has a outer diameter about 55mm. you can't use the hood with the cpl on. |
