Recently purchased a KM DiMage Z5. Followed installation instructions for Win/XP as outlined in the user manual, but unable to get XP's Scanner and Camera Wizard to recognize the camera. USB connection works fine and I am able to manually copy images from the camera (which shows up as a USB mass storage device in Windows Explorer) to another folder on my machine. DiMage Viewer is installed and works as advertised.
There is no 1-800 support number for KM Canada, just an E-mail facility. Sent them a message, and after one week they replied with what was essentially a "try it again and see if it works" answer. Sent them a reply indicating that reinstalling did not work --- still no answer after one week. I'm satisfied with the performance of the Z5 and the quality of the camera and the photos I have taken ---- but very dissatisfied with their support structure. Wayne in Victoria, BC, Canada |

Plug in the camera, right click on the camera in My Computer and click the Autoplay tab. Select Pictures from the drop down menu and select Scanner and Camera Wizard. Make sure Autoplay is enabled on that drive with TweakUI.

The Konica/Minolta people in Toronto are great. Ask for Jerry Julian when you call. Sorry, I don't have the number but it is listed. Cheers, Michael.
