I am using a Dimage 5 with an IBM 1G microdrive.
I'm looking to get a beefy external battery pack. Does anyone have recommendations also where to buy. |

Depends on how beefy you mean. The Digipower DPS-9000 is available at Best Buy in some areas for $40.00. ($59.00 here) It provides more than the juice provided by 2 sets of NiMH's (for my D7) and mounts very neatly to the tripod mount on the bottom of the camera. Here's some discussion and a photo:
