I ordered mine this morning, the price was 59.00 including tax and shipping. this was for the upgrade only. I can wait for another week...waited this long. Hope it is worth the wait !!:P

Why the price $86 & $59?

sjms Jul 30, 2002 1:13 PM

oh gee! a whole 9 days from now. they posted the info on the ug almost 1.5 months ago. thats better than the end of the summer which would be 40 days from now(depending on how you look at the end of summer).

it's available 2 ways
1-firmware ug only 59.95
2-firmware & DIVU 2.0 79.95

i have DIVU 2 it came with the 7i. much cleaner interface. pretty much all inclusive including movie playback. its your choice.

of course applicable shipping charges apply

BTW, DIVU 2 was available for download(check old postings) on the internet as soon as it was released with the PCT-100 (including V2.2). I just wanted to support Minolta so they can work on my next D9 !!!

I tried to order the package deal today in accord with the email notification of the package price (the photo software and firmware upgrade) and couldn't--the "package" evidently doesn't actually exist on the web site although you can order each component indidvidually for more money. A call to Minolta produced some hemming and hawing, and I belive this will be fixed soon.

MonsieurMS

Either they have a technical difficulty or they ran out, but when I put my order the first day, there were clearly 3 choices... My only disappointment was the notice of the CD not getting ship until the day after tomorrow. I can't wait to get my hand on the real-time histogram feature! It's definetely a breakthrough in my opinion, especially for manual shots of night scenes...

I love night scenes and manual.

But explain how you benefit from the histogram. I've never understood it well.
