Hi,
My Minolta Dimage 7hi has stopped working after 1.5 years; no more image like when you leave the lid on; everything elese is fine but the CCD is gone; this is what the service told me. The problem is that the cost to replace the sensor is 410 euros!!! IƬve lost the receipt so the warranty is no longer valid ![]() The question is : do you think is worthy? should I try to sell the camera body for spare parts? Any other idea? Thanks |

410 euros seems a bit high. I had a 4 year old Dimage 5 develop a "hot pixel", the 3rdpartyrepairmen quoted me 230 US(177euros?). That was for labor and new CCD. I don't know if the 3.3 mp ccd to 5 mp ccd would account for the price jump(177 to 410). I might check around for a better price, agiain it seems very high.
