I thought that the Dimage z1 series were all made in korea, but after stumbling across this:
http://www.dcresource.com/reviews/mi...ndex_pfv.shtml and looking at the image of the bottom of the camera, it says that this particular Z1 is made in JAPAN??? The dimage i bought in canada thru tigerdirect (prob imported from the states) says that its made in korea.. infact i opened 4 of these and they were all made in korea. anyone else from around the world have korean/japanese z1/z2's? any problems with theirs? makes me wonder what the view-shifter finder thingy, if that was a problem with units from certain countries. or if there are any quality issues with units from diff countries. |

OK, my X20 isn't exactly the Z-series. Still, it's made in Indonesia.
When the X20 was launched, it was made in Japan. Would be interesting to learn what impact this has on quality. |
